One of Southern California’s premier resorts announced a change in name from Harrah’s Rincon Casino & Resort to Harrah’s Resort Southern California, which follows on the heels of the completion of a $160 million renovation and expansion to the property this month.
“We’re thrilled for the next chapter at the resort, and with this property-wide transformation, our focus on service and the guest experience at Harrah’s Resort Southern California will far surpass expectations and bring the resort to the next level,” said Janet Beronio, regional president and general manager. “This official name change is concurrent with the unveiling of our most recent renovation and expansion in April, which perfectly positions Harrah’s as a premier Southern California destination resort.”
The name-change is one of the final steps in the two-year renovation process to the property. By the end of the project Harrah’s Resort Southern California will boast 1,065 rooms, three new pools with a swim-up bar and Lazy River, an events center, convention and entertainment venue, a Starbucks, wine and craft beer bar, a craft-cocktail ultra-lounge named Spiked, Earl of Sandwich restaurant, and the return of Pink’s Hot Dogs among other changes.
