BloomBooth Brings an Adaptable Photo Option to Events

Nathan Flatt, a Sacramento mechanical engineer, and Justin Straub, a marketing and business strategy guru, quit their day jobs last year to concentrate full time on BloomBooth, an innovative collapsible photo booth that is picture perfect for event planners (Straub has since sold his share to Flatt). The mobile contraption can be wheeled into a venue on a utility cart and unfolds into a full-size booth equipped with camera, computer and printer.

Road Soda Bar Creates Artisan Cocktails That Travel to Your Event

Road Soda Bar blends two ofthe-moment trends: vintage trailers and bespoke cocktails. The company can drive both right into your event, whether it’s an off-road or urban location, via its refurbished 1967 Airstream Land Yacht. The trailer is a traveling speakeasy with its atypical built-ins that include specialty ice and frozen-drink machines, dispensers for on-tap artisan cocktails and a kicky red VIP booth.

Signature Drink: Smashing Leaves

The globally inspired cuisine at Hinoki & the Bird, in LA’s Century City neighborhood, is refined, eclectic and vibrant. That describes this cocktail, too. “We use seasonal fruits and herbs in our cocktails just like our culinary team does in the kitchen,” says General Manager Nick Moore. “The shiso leaves are uniquely herbaceous and are balanced by the kumquats’ sweet and tart flavors. The bourbon really rounds out the flavor profile nicely with warm notes of caramel.”

How to Maintain a Connection With Attendees After the Meeting

If you're like us, you spend 10 months planning an event that lasts for two or three days. Those days are abuzz with frenzied activity, but before you know it, the event is over and your attendees are gone. How do you keep the buzz going? Here are a few things we do to keep our attendees engaged all year long.

Room With a View: Mr. C Beverly Hills Updates its Rooftop Ballroom

The 137-room Mr. C Beverly Hills embodies Venetian style. Teak floors, nautical architectural details and white-jacketed waiters are among the hallmarks of the property from Venice, Italy’s famed Cipriani family of hoteliers. Recently, the hotel’s 12th-floor, 5,000-square-foot Starlight Ballroom (50-350 capacity) received a palette redo ensuring a view-rich, blank canvas for events. Flooring is now neutral, walls are a fresh brilliant white and designer sconces complete the décor upgrades.
