The iconic Grand Hyatt New York in Midtown Manhattan recently debuted a multimillion dollar renovation of its conference level, including 12,000 square feet of meeting space and 18 breakout rooms. Designed by New York City-based interior design and architecture firm Nemaworkshop, the new design reflects the energy of the adjacent Grand Central Terminal and the New York City skyline.
The Los Angeles Convention Center has partnered with the U.S. Green Building Council and Informa Exhibitions for a record-shattering 90.3 percent waste diversion rate at the 2016 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo.
“Los Angeles is leading the way in sustainability,” says Kate Hurst, vice president of community advancement, conference and events. “It was ranked as the fourth major city in the United States for LEED-certified projects in 2016 and is part of the 100 million square feet club, which made it an ideal location to host the 15th annual Greenbuild.”

Items range from flashlights to uniforms, transport vehicles, forcible entry tools, weapons, crime scene investigation aids, wireless services and digital cameras. It has been held in Atlantic City since 1987.
Excitingly, the research shows the idea of a center with 125,000 square feet of space, including an exhibit hall, banquet hall and meeting rooms, is highly supported. The study also found that those in favor believed the facility would have a positive effect on the economic development of the county.
