“Let’s give them something to talk about” was the theme when the Southern California Chapter of Meetings Professionals International (MPISCC) gathered at The Beverly Hilton on June 7 of their 2017 Board Installation & Awards Gala. The evening lived up to that message with entertainment by The Amani Experience and Hey Miser DJ, opera singer Kala Maxym, the band STADIUM, and a surprise performance by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles. The threecourse dinner was complemented by pairings from Carmel’s award-winning Folktale Winery & Vineyards.

With a beachside locale and a laidback, surf-town vibe, Ventura County Coast is awash with inspiration for your next meeting and event. The region is home to four communities— Camarillo, Oxnard, Ventura, and Port Hueneme—and is ideal for groups from 10 to 1,000.

The smiling faces say it all: it’s great to be together again! In late June, the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority welcomed 18 executive meeting planners from across the country to the destination, marking the first assembly of a new customer advisory board (CAB) focused on meetings, conventions and trade shows.
