Sarasota County will see the addition of 1,112 new hotel rooms over the next two years. These new accommodations will largely fall within walking distance of downtown Sarasota and the dining, arts and scenery that it offers.
AC Hotel San Francisco Airport/Oyster Point Waterfront will open in September 2017. The location is the newest property in Marriott's AC Hotel collection and is located 10 minutes from San Francisco International Airport.

Pebble Beach Company of Pebble Beach, Calif., has announced the opening of Fairway One at Pebble Beach Resorts in August. The Fairway One complex will sit on the left side of the first fairway, offering a new and enhanced guest room experience with oversized accommodations, a greater sense of privacy and personalized service. Complete with ocean, garden and golf course views, Fairway One will include three two-story hotel buildings, two four-bedroom golf cottages and a brand new meeting facility.
Merely steps from San Francisco’s Union Square, Hotel Nikko unveiled a $60 million renovation this spring. The three-month renovation commemorates the Landmark hotel’s 30th anniversary. Hirsch Bedner Associates leads the contemporary revamp of the hotel’s interior, taking inspiration from the Nikko’s Japanese heritage. Omni Hotels & Resorts is announcing new developments for the hotel. The 16-story hotel is set to open in June 2017, showcasing 300 guest rooms and suites, and 24,000 square-feet of meeting space, including a 13,000-square-foot ballroom. Additionally, Omni Hotels & Resorts has appointed Gayla Guyse as director of sales and marketing for the Omni Frisco Hotel. Guyse has 20 years of experience working for the Omni Frisco Hotel.
The Westin Galleria Dallas has completed a multimillion-dollar renovation to the property. Every inch of the hotel has been updated, including the 448 guest rooms and 10 suites, the lobby, the 54,000-square-feet of meeting space and the hotel’s restaurant.
Following their merger, Benchmark Hospitality International and Gemstone Hotels & Resorts have created a new name and corporate identity for themselves. They will be known as Benchmark, a global hospitality company that has more than 70 hotels, resorts and conference centers, 8,000 guest rooms and 10,000 employees.
