Pebble Beach Company of Pebble Beach, Calif., has announced the opening of Fairway One at Pebble Beach Resorts in August. The Fairway One complex will sit on the left side of the first fairway, offering a new and enhanced guest room experience with oversized accommodations, a greater sense of privacy and personalized service. Complete with ocean, garden and golf course views, Fairway One will include three two-story hotel buildings, two four-bedroom golf cottages and a brand new meeting facility.

“The Lodge and Pebble Beach Golf Links are where our story began in 1919, and now, as we approach our 100th anniversary, the addition of Fairway One will help us continue that legacy for the next 100 years,” says Bill Perocchi, CEO of Pebble Beach Company. “Our guests will find that Fairway One maintains the style, personality, and signature amenities and services that they have come to expect at The Lodge, while delivering a little more privacy and an upgraded experience all its own.”

Stemming from a series of upgrades—the phased renovation of all 454 guest rooms at The Lodge, The Inn at Spanish Bay and Casa Palmero and subtle restorations to Pebble Beach Golf Links—Fairway One will also add 38 guest rooms, including 30 guest rooms in three two-story buildings and eight rooms in two four-bedroom golf cottages fronting the first fairway of Pebble Beach Golf Links.

The two Fairway One Cottages will each feature a 1,000-square-foot living room, two king bedrooms, two queen/queen bedrooms, and an outdoor terrace with fire pit. Each living room sports a 17-foot-high wood-beam ceiling, rich wood millwork and wood-burning floor-to-ceiling stacked stone fireplace. Additional amenities include two 55-inch HDTVs, a wet bar, dining area and oversized furniture. Starting at 660 square feet, the 30 Fairway One guest rooms will be located behind the cottages.

The meeting facility will house a 2,500-square-foot meeting room with a capacity of 225 aand several more options for events that can be booked individually or as a complete group buyout. Among the other available spaces is the 700-square-foot Fairway One Board Room, accommodating 26; the 1,000-square-foot Fairway One Living Room, accommodating 80; and the 2,250-square-foot Fairway One Terrace Patio, accommodating 250.

Enhancements at The Lodge, The Inn and Casa Palmero include everything from window wall expansions to interior and exterior renovations and upgrades, and, in addition, various new amenities: fireplaces, air conditioning, 55-inch HDTVs, new lighting, energy management systems, and state-of-the-art door locks.

All enhancements will be completed just in time for the 2018 U.S. Amateur, the 2019 U.S. Open championships, and the celebration of the resort’s 100th anniversary in 2019. Renowned hospitality design firm, Hirsch Bedner Associates, is entrusted with the interior design of Fairway One as well as The Lodge and The Inn guest room renovations.

Doctors, nurses, grocery store employees and more were essential to sustaining the continued stay-at-home orders that helped fight the spread of COVID-19. Such workers put their health at risk for the benefit of society, and Nakoma Resort and the Lost Sierra Chamber of Commerce want to recognize them for their efforts through the “Send Your Heroes” campaign.

Due to COVID-19, non-essential travel was, or has been, banned for months. Long anticipated trips and in-person gatherings were canceled and people have adjusted to the new normal: staying at home and meeting over Zoom. However, states have been slowly lifting restrictions, and non-essential travel will soon be happening across the country again. However, some may not be as comfortable with the thought of traveling as they were before the pandemic.

Although several cities are opening up again, many offices are still enforcing work from home policies. As they did when Stay at Home first began, plenty of organizations are still offering webinars with insights on how to tackle the new normal. Gaining new knowledge is a great way to use extra time that might have been spent on a commute.

Here at M+E, we’ll keep the following list updated, as some webinars are live and some are pre-recorded. Please email lauren.pahmeier@tigeroak.com to add more applicable webinars to the list.
