Desiree Weyls was recently appointed sales manager of L'Auberge del Mar.
1. What are you looking forward to the most in your new role?
I have always admired L’Auberge Del Mar from afar and am excited to finally have the opportunity to sell this beautiful, iconic beach property.
2. How do you think past experiences have prepared you for this role?
My previous sales positions taught me to be proactive to find the right business by doing my research and networking. This will serve me well at L’Auberge Del Mar, where we do not have a GSO to provide leads.
3. How did you get into the industry?
Funny story! I was attending a job fair in search of a position in event planning when I came into contact with the human resources manager at the Marriott Marquis. She encouraged me to apply for the sales coordinator roll instead – and here I am!
4. What are you hoping to achieve in your new role?
I’m looking to increase the exposure of L’Auberge Del Mar around the country. We have a unique property with much to offer groups – from the coastal location and outdoor activities to the resort’s quality service and fantastic culinary team. I also look forward to learning more and growing with Noble House Hotels & Resorts.
5. What do you enjoy most about the industry?
I love working with people! I truly enjoy creating and cultivating relationships with clients as well as colleagues.
