Shelly Sutton was recently hired as the vice president of human resources for streamlinevents.

1. What are you looking forward to the most in your new role? 

I look forward to building positive relationships and staying in touch with the issues and interests of our people.

2. How do you think past experiences have prepared you for this role? 

With nearly two decades of experience in human resource management and a genuine passion for people, I am grateful for the opportunity to make a difference at streamlinevents.

3. How did you get into the industry? 

I was drawn to the events industry because I wanted something dynamic, fun and new. I got into HR because I love people. Plus, I enjoy dialogue, problem-solving and being a good listener.

4. What are you hoping to achieve in your new role?

I plan to focus on what makes streamlinevents a great place to work – and what keeps the most ambitious employees happy. I will strive to continue to create a community where people can be authentic and bring their A-game. So we continue to have high-performing and engaged employees.

5. What do you enjoy most about the industry? 

I’m inspired by the creativity and positive work ethic of our workforce.
