• Westin Nashville Announces New Hires

The Westin Nashville recently announced the appointments of Don Holowiecki as director of finance; Adam Smith as executive meetings manager of sales; Leisa Recabo as social catering manager; and Michael Pisano as conference service manager. Holowiecki will be in charge of the hotel’s efforts to maintain financial stability, helping the Westin Nashville to remain Nashville’s hottest new hotel. Smith will lead the sales team, and Recabo will focus on marketing the Westin Nashville’s top-of-the-line catering services. Pisano will manage all groups that utilize the hotel’s meeting spaces.

“It is with great pleasure we welcome Don Holowiecki, Adam Smith, Leisa Recabo and Michael Pisano to our team,” says Ray Waters, general manager of the hotel. “Each of their individual experiences will inspire our teams with renewed confidence and will directly contribute to the continued success of The Westin Nashville.”

Don Holowiecki brings his award-winning financial experience to the Westin Nashville. Holowiecki attended Stetson University, where he earned a Masters of Business Administration. He previously worked at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort, Wyndham Vacation Ownership and Marriott International. The New Jersey native has earned awards such as the STAR Values Award (2015) and the Leadership Excellence Award (2015) at Marriott International’s Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center and the Partners in Excellence Award (2004) at Walt Disney World, where he started his career.

Adam Smith comes to the Westin Nashville with an extensive background in the local hospitality business. Most recently, worked at the Music City Center as the catering sales and short term sales manager. Before that, he was with the Sheraton Nashville Downtown. His collection of awards includes Leader of the Year, Highest MPSI Scorer for On-Site Contact and Intent to Return (2011) at the Sheraton Nashville Downtown Hotel and an Employee Empowerment Award (2008) at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel. His first position in the industry was a banquet captain for the Holiday Inn and Convention Center in Bowling Green, Ky.

Most recently, Leisa Recabo was with the Marriott Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn. Before that, she worked at the Sheraton Music City Hotel. Relocated over her career due to spousal military service, Recabo has played a huge role in the success of sales, catering and operations of hotels in North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee and Washington. The Tennessee native attended Bauder College in Atlanta, Georgia.

Michael Pisano is an Elon University graduate and has previously worked on the opening team at the Hutton Hotel for eight years, serving as sales coordinator, convention service manager and on-site IT manager. In this role, he was awarded the hotel’s first Employee of the Year Award. Pisano played a large role in facilitating the Hutton Hotel’s successful opening and will bring that experience to assist The Westin Nashville’s 453 rooms and suites in its early years.

The Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre completed its $24 million renovation of the entire hotel and conference center. Renovations began in 2020. 

The North Dallas conference center hotel renovation includes a full redesign of all 503 guest rooms, lobby and public areas, and food and beverage outlets. Additionally, the hotel’s 55,000-square-feet of meeting space was updated with new furnishings, technology upgrades, and the addition of a new 6,600-square-foot Lakeside Ballroom.

The 1,200-square-foot cider house is available for private events of up to 51 guests while a full venue buyout accommodates 300.
