• Wine Country Welcomes New Director of Catering and Conference Services

The Estate Yountville in Napa Valley, California has expanded their culinary team by appointing Katie Cotten as director of catering and conference services. Cotten brings 13 years of experience in luxury events, including celebrity weddings and television shoots, to her new position, where she will manage and assist meeting and event planners in the execution of their functions. Cotten specializes in setting goals with her clients and working with them closely to ensure a successful and unique event.

“We are thrilled to have Katie Cotten lead our catering and conference team at The Estate Yountville,” said Steve Davino, general manager of The Estate Yountville. “Her extensive luxury hospitality experience will prove to be extremely valuable as we are seeing a large increase in event bookings at The Estate since its recent transformation of The Venues."

Cotten and her team will be offering new catering menus created by executive chef Greg Wiener for all events that take place at ‘The Venues at The Estate.’ The Venues make up a total of 55,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, including The Pavilion, The Groezinger, The Barrel Room and a new addition opening in Summer 2018, The Gallery. Highlights from the catering menu include: Light and healthy dishes with local, seasonal ingredients, and customizable options which Cotten will personally accommodate for every group if need be.

"Since Napa Valley offers a wonderful backdrop for any size event, Katie and her team can help with the details that make any occasion a memorable one,” added Davino.

The Estate Yountville, a 22-acre property, is currently undergoing a transformative change to redefine wine country hospitality in a modern way. Completed in Fall 2017, Vintage House channels the spirit of the wine country with 80 intimate bungalow-style rooms. Arriving Summer 2018, Hotel Villagio will showcase 112 luxurious guest rooms and 22 suites, a spa, executive conference center, lounge for drinks and a pool.

Jerry Bindel has been named general manager for Forest Suites Resort at Heavenly Village, in South Lake Tahoe, California.

The Goodland, a Kimpton Hotel recently announced the appointment of Danielle Santilli as associate director of sales. In her new role, Santilli will be responsible for planning and implementing sales, marketing and business development strategies for the 158-room Santa Barbara hotel. 

 

Certified sommelier Kyle Erickson joins the Alisal Guest Ranch & Resort team in Solvang, CA as the new food and beverage director. Former partner of Ted Vance (Vance Erickson Fine Wine Brokers), Erickson will now work alongside executive chef Anthony Endy to rejuvenate Alisal’s food and beverage menus. As a Santa Barbara native, he strives to incorporate his passion and knowledge of the region to his new role.
